Loss of visual progress (Opposed)

Technical difficulties with the computer I'm using for Steam and GMod have led to broken program dependencies that prevented Steam from starting (I'm using a Linux version, so what?). As a result, I am unable to recover the background plates I'd completed over the past few months. At least I'd only finished the prologue and not much farther. Barring a few required 3D model replacements and possible differences in character/item positions, I will retake the background plates for episode 1's prologue as soon as possible.

Opposed delayed again

Due to a major news story going around lately (you know the one), Opposed will further be delayed since episode 1's pre-title sequence may be risky to release at this point in time. Other reasons include a pressing local matter that I have to deal with this month, as well as the continuing slow progress in making the series itself; this slow progress is mainly due to recurring unexpected crashes of Garry's Mod because of how old my main computer is, which led to the stylistic choice of making Opposed an audiovisual series.

Thought I'd post an update somewhere.

July 5 and 11 had good things happen. I got to see people I haven't seen for at least 9 months.

I've been off social media since August 4, 2017 (officially).

But more importantly, Opposed!: the new Opposition/Resurrection is still in progress.

I'm having major disk space issues because I've had to heavily move out a lot of Final Fantasy XV footage from our PS4. Plus, Garry's Mod has been having memory issues, long load times as usual, and sudden crashes, and Steam is about to disown Windows Vista in January, meaning I need to switch to Windows 7 (somehow) if I am to finish Opposed by the end of 2019.

I switched Opposed to an audiovisual format, meaning an audio drama with still visuals, to attempt to counteract the disk space issues. After all, still pictures take less space and memory to make than video clips. I realize it's been seven months since my projected release date and I have nothing to show for it except teaser renders of future story arcs and negative inspiration last summer that led to new enemy factions in the story (the Blazing Swords and Flaring Meteors).

Rest assured that the audiovisual drama is still coming out. Most of episode 1 is complete. I just need to find clips and streamline the ending of the episode. Just hoping that two people with orders to kill me don't succeed before I finish.

Computer formatted and wiped

In case you haven't heard on my Twitter, I had to resort to wiping my computer due to mishaps with disk space, Ubuntu, and a Team Fortress 2 item called Tux. As such, any current and future projects, such as inhibitor filler ep26, as well as a new dramatization storyline regarding my "fugitive" status, will be delayed, and my Flash homepage will need to be rebuilt from scratch.

I have worked in some subplots regarding the Tux item as well as lost textures for certain MMD files I previously had (and partially managed to recover). I can't promise any release dates, though.

CODE RED delayed indefinitely

Due to recurring and worsening problems related to the other computer's graphics card, sudden power cutoffs, and c00000021a Fatal System Errors, CODE RED has been delayed indefinitely.

Computer going up

I got the computer back. The motherboard was replaced as requested, and it's supposed to start up fine now. However, don't get your hopes up.

I haven't set it back up yet, and there's still no telling if the thing is prone to locking up randomly. I'll update this as soon as possible.

UPDATE Apr. 20: Everything's fine. It just starts up really slow.

Computer update

I have still not received any info about the computer I used since I took it in on the 16th. I'm assuming they are replacing the motherboard but I am not totally sure.

At this rate, I'm not sure if they've done a format on the hard drive (and not one of those where the data is shredded), but at least I still have plans to use some freeware recovery programs as well as one recent program provided by Giveaway Of The Day.

If all goes well, maybe you might be able to see the alternate-universe version of YTP ss07 5 (The T-Clone's Last Stand).

Computer down!

I, the user, am typing this on another computer.

For the past two weeks, my computer has undergone a tragic downfall so to speak.

• Feb. 2 (Tues.): IE 7 got hijacked by fake antivirus prompts multiple times. Apparently at the same time, some undetectable trojan was slipped through the mess.
• Feb. 4 (Thurs.): Computer started locking up randomly. As in, everything freezes, keyboard, mouse, power button don't work at all; if there are any sounds playing, it starts stuttering. Never recovers. Forced to pull the plug each time.
• Investigation: Conclusively I found out through the next week that apparently this trojan caused the BIOS settings to be reset to defaults (for safety). I tried using memtest 86 and Windows' diagnostic tool, but there were no errors. Also, CPU usage and RAM meters (Windows Sidebar gadgets) did not indicate that sudden high usage bursts happened at the time of the lockups.
• For the week, I also tried several antivirus programs (including Dr Web CureIt) in regular and safe mode. They did not detect the cause, or the computer locked up during the scans.
• Feb. 6 (Sat.): Updated Vista to service pack 2. Unfortunately, this removed all my System Restore points!
  
• Feb. 13 (Sat.): Computer got bricked because during a legitimate BIOS update, the computer locked up.

I am planning to take it over for service on Tuesday, but they'll obviously wipe off the hard drive if they go through with it. This means that I may have to return to my old Win ME computer, and all my random YTP videos will not be returning.
