Op/Res episode 3 sneak preview [5161814]

Due to how long it's taking me to actually start working on (let alone animating) the final scenes for Op/Res episode 3 "Excessive rotations can prove dangerous", and the fact that I have my (hopefully) final [5161814] mission at Otafest 2014, I have decided to release a sneak preview to the episode. The fatal decision logo of 2012

I posted these tweets recently trying to explain where I got the idea for the skull behind my ss07 insignia around this time last year.

Op/Res episode 2 progress

As you may have guessed, episode 2 of Opposition/Resurrection has been overdue for nearly 2 months now. Let me say that I'm actually almost done. The episode's climax was completed, but the episode itself isn't yet.

I really wish it didn't come to the point where you find out who's the 2nd person who wants me dead.

RELEASED Sept. 7, 2013. See it here.

Website relaunch, sort of

I've added a teaser site to the new series, Opposition/Resurrection, on my website's front page.

Computer formatted and wiped

In case you haven't heard on my Twitter, I had to resort to wiping my computer due to mishaps with disk space, Ubuntu, and a Team Fortress 2 item called Tux. As such, any current and future projects, such as inhibitor filler ep26, as well as a new dramatization storyline regarding my "fugitive" status, will be delayed, and my Flash homepage will need to be rebuilt from scratch.

I have worked in some subplots regarding the Tux item as well as lost textures for certain MMD files I previously had (and partially managed to recover). I can't promise any release dates, though.

Why "Same Direction"?

//////////
The reason why I picked "Same Direction" for the "Farewell to Otafest" music video? Well, we are all going in the same direction. Eventually, we'll all grow to have something against one another.

Prove or disprove?

Agitation factors 2012

  1. Global Calgary May 14 newscast - characters I don't know alongside characters I do
  2. No known special guests over 2011-12. Fed up with this and "took it out" on others without malice.
  3. Otafest itself. Hence, cancellation of Payback: the Otafest vlogs and resulting departure; not going back anymore. Something made me change my mind

August 4 and 5

Updated July 22, August 5, 2012 4:56 PM MDT
  • August 4: Undecided on whether it's house arrest or taping up my left arm and my mouth as I head to an Otafest-related screening of various shows EXECUTED COMPLETE
  • August 5: DEFINITELY house arrest due to the cancellation of the Payback vlogs. Prince's Island Park is off-limits because one of the agitation factors of Payback season 2 was filmed there. EXECUTED COMPLETE
  • *Note: In this case, house arrest prevented the "fugitive" user from going anywhere beyond "across the street".

Payback's on the shelf of languishment

While the rest of season 2 will be made and published, these remaining episodes will not be released publicly, as it is clear that people have turned against me.

A place for disinhibition

Due to recent events and paranoia (and the fact that potential cyberbullies have attacked an autistic user (namely me)), the May 14-15, 2012 Usercasts have been taken down.

The reanimated videobomb scene from the May 14 Usercast may show up separately soon.

Also: Backlash policy regulations from 2011 require you to disprove this blog post title.

They should probably not have put their hands on the inhibitors

In CODE RED: the written adaptation (and its scrapped video equivalent, CODE RED: the finale), a +involvement member and a certain bassist had touched the mental inhibitors with their hands.
The first case led to the events depicted in the "+involvement rescue" chapter with many certain characters voiced by the same voice actress coming together in one place. The second case led to a certain shield-wielding character meeting up with the bassist in inhibitor filler ep01: "this can't be happening".

In a similar case, the RED Heavy did make physical contact with and used his fists on the inhibitors in the finale/web novel and previous episodes. Thankfully, however, this led to a relatively minor referential event in CODE RED Aug 31 2010, where a certain pilot (of a military C-130 plane) and a psychotherapist with a cane were heard in decoded inhibitor signals.

Spoiler expiry policy

Now in effect as of May 2, 2012.

Using a similar policy to that of Court-Records.net for Ace Attorney Investigations in 2010, I have decided on a four-month waiting period before spoilers become unmarked and outright revealed publicly.
Since CODE RED: the written adaptation was completed in January 2012, any information pertaining to the #SK09-HM10-07XX subject will be declassified in May 2012, starting with a video entitled "#SK09-HM10-07XX in 9 seconds each", where footage from the case file is revealed in superslinger2007 media, albeit censored due to morality purposes.

Payback 2012: What to expect

Last updated: June 19, 2012
  • Fewer gameplay segments than in the 4th split day
-likely placed in separate videos similarly to Superman 64 and UMK3 Noob Saibot shenanigans (day 3, 2011)
(Actually, there are very short gameplay segments of Portal 2 as well as one regular game/cosplay segment of Dance Central 2 in season 2 day 3 (unreleased))
  • Fewer scenes between ST and MacHall
-Science A is blocked off for repairs, including a pathway seen in Loose Discovery (July 2010) and the four 2011 installments (days 1-3 and the 4th split day).
-Since this construction will apparently finish in late fall of 2012, this will cut into Otafest and the Payback vlogs.
  • Quicker, more to-the-point, rundown of my Payback rules in accordance with Otafest rules - leading to shorter intro for day 1
-Actually, the rundown for the 4th split day still applies.)
  • New title sequence, based on the Scout sketch from the Nov. 11, 2011 Usercast and COMPROMISE situation, and featuring a Lego caricature of the user (me)
-And two more hypothetical situations based on actual cosplay characters witnessed during season 1 and conjecture from the inhibitor filler episodes. Day 2 titles NOT representative of Jack's views.
  • A lot less "Anticipation"; I already showed you around!
  • Even more cosplay segments, pending reluctancy, events around me, and other factors such as battery problems (hopefully averted).
-Proportionately, with more people attending the main Otafest convention than in Lite, there would be a whole lot more cosplayers and cosplay characters
-Unfamiliarity with certain characters posed unlikeliness.

-Of course, people are sharing stuff on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, and, after all, I can't pull a Stalin on others' submissions, now can I?
  • Taking lessons about prescriptivism and moral consistency into further effect
Morality falls out the window in day 3
  • Make the series not so centered around CODE RED anymore; it's done!
  • Thus, no more coverups by Net persona
  • Take the camera up to the dance floor for once. (Segments may be muted (except for leitmotifs) due to auditory harassment risk)
-No segments made. Why...? Was shot up and reluctant.
  • Research preparation (tentative)
    -Partially.
-Global Calgary May 14 newscast was a factor of expectation and agitation.
-Did not expect the amount of unfamiliarity/unknown characters encountered.
  • More-fitting leitmotifs for cosplay characters
    -It's the same as ever
  • Higher LHS tolerance
    - Still went into denial on day 3 (unreleased), though.
  • Community fad tolerance (tentative)
-Any references to BEEPs and BEEEEPs are censored
  • More plan-Bs for setbacks - hopefully not just waving at the camera.
-How about you salute to the camera?
  • Getting around my camera's weak microphone range
  • Desperate closures!
-Attempted, did not go through with it.

CODE RED Jun 8 2010 extended version

As part of 12.17 (12 days, 12 drops), the full version of CODE RED Jun 8 2010, with the deleted scene intact, is now available. It depicts the beginning of a subplot between two rivals that would last until the events of chapter 14 of the web novel.

It is recommended you use JDownloader so as to avoid forgetting to click links, and to avoid pop-ups which will seep through your blockers. There are NO viruses in the file, but you do this at your own risk.

Remember to also check out chapter 14 of CODE RED: the written adaptation when it's released.
