CODE RED delayed indefinitely

Due to recurring and worsening problems related to the other computer's graphics card, sudden power cutoffs, and c00000021a Fatal System Errors, CODE RED has been delayed indefinitely.

Planned website updates

What I have in mind is a CODE RED series (finale) page in the style of a Team Fortress 2 update page, as well as a page for the "a screwed destiny" triple series finale project, which rotates between randomly chosen background scenes from the major settings for each finale. Of course, university work has to take some precedence.

Subject and allies' info profiles

New items listed on Sept. 11, 2011. One note posted on Sept. 13.

These are presented, in no particular order, as if they were part of the fictional CODE RED investigation into the fictionally controversial case file, #SK09-HM10-07XX. Up to the release of the CODE RED finale, these notes will be clarified with links to each related area of interest, so keep checking back.

Look into the research after the jump (Click "read more").

Team Fortress 2 and CODE RED development

So, with the Uber Update and release of the long-awaited Meet the Medic trailer, Team Fortress 2 has become a free-to-play game. However, if I hadn't gotten two copies in June of last year*, CODE RED would never have evolved.

The main characters of CODE RED are nine mercenaries, the nine different classes of Team Fortress 2. It relied pretty much on the usage of these characters and their witty lines. If I didn't buy TF2 last June, I would not have access to the Source SDK (as I had taken advantage of the (full game) Portal 1 giveaway in May 2010), nor would CODE RED move on to include the zany machinima/CG sequences that began with "The Team Colors" and, officially, in CR Jul 24 2010.

Team Fortress 2 was pretty much worth trying and getting. Trying as in the first time I tried it was the Sniper vs Spy update in May 2009, and it had a free weekend. The War update's free weekend, however, was the sole reason I still even had the character lines for the February 2010 update (CODE RED pilot) and beyond.

When I head back in a couple of weeks, I'll do a few more experiments and let those updates finally install, but the main goal is to complete the CODE RED finale, because its setting, January 2, 2011, ended up being significant to those nine selected mercenaries and those around them.

*A copy was half-price $10 USD when I bought the two copies at the end of the Mac Update's free weekend. I admit I didn't anticipate the 2010 holiday sale's price.

Coincidental

Looking at the Uber Update day 1 page, it seems I made a somehow fitting choice of having the Heavy and the Spy head out of the 2Fort map in Team Fortress 2 in the introductory sequence to the CODE RED finale. Other than the fact that Meet the Spy, and subsequently, "That would be superslinger!"*, took place in (a modified version of) the BLU intelligence room, Heavy and Spy's mugshot placards state 2Fort's in-universe locational name.

This is "somehow fitting" because choices I made earlier somehow coincide with later official media - the direct opposite of what I'm doing to integrate Payback influence with the CODE RED finale.

* It's been a year since that was posted. Remember those pictures I gave to the BLU spy just before Revelation?

Major clue drop

I've kept announcing a countdown on Twitter until a major clue drop to the CODE RED series and its contextual fictionally controversial case file, #SK09-HM10-07XX (which, however, consists of two very real videos that are not mine, and released on October 25, 2007 and January 2, 2008 - which is why those dates (minus the year) are CODE RED episodes).

However, since I'm still all the way over here for the month of June and staying until July (hopefully for one week into July), I haven't made any preparations and I still don't have access to stored footage.

The least I can tell you is what significant number "will pay the price" and caught a sniper off guard as stated in CODE RED Aug 31 2010. In the meantime, decipher the backgrounds of the May 2011 videos, watch the Payback vlog series, and find the clues in the CODE RED videos so far.

Payback: the Otafest vlogs

Please go to the YouTube channel for the respective video playlists. Thank you.

Updated May 29, 2012

The Payback vlog series was created in light of the May 22, 2010 COMPROMISE, and consists of superslinger2007 (the user) trying to find things to talk about (or, as of "the 4th split day", mess around with) while mostly getting others in cosplay costumes to do random poses or wave at the camera.
